We've obviously lost a lot of close games, but if you would have told me that Brewer would be out for a stretch and Lee Humphrey would have a separated shoulder, I would have told you we would have had some problems.

Then another guy came in and I'm just like, 'What's going on?' He told me, 'you're OK, you'll get your turn.' I got my turn and obviously it went well with everyone involved.

 One of our goals is to get the ball to Mike. We'll look at what Boise State does, and we'll try and find ways to do that regardless. And then utilize the rest of our people, too. And that will help Mike get open.

 A lot of the guys were going to bed early because there were guys who had slept on the plane and guys who hadn't. I talked to a lot of guys (yesterday) who were able to sleep until 9 a.m. Hopefully, the adjustment isn't going to be that difficult and we're able to get the rest we need as we go forward for the rest of the tournament.

 When A.I. goes down like that, it's really hard for all of us. But I wasn't surprised (that the rest of the team stepped up). That's why I wanted to pass the ball around to guys and let them do what they can do.

 Louisville was bigger and more physical than us. Jon brings that for us now. Even if he doesn't get the rebounds, he's diving for balls and keeping other guys from getting them. He makes Mike and the rest of us play harder.

 Mike and I went to the same high school together. He was four years behind me, but we had mutual friends. I heard that Mike was looking for a teaching job, and I told him I was looking for an assistant. I was excited when he took the job. I knew he was a very talented guy.

 I was a little bit surprised I got in the game in that situation, but I was ready. I told Mike before the game I was ready for anything.

 I know that Mike has talked with Jason this summer and told him he's going to give him every opportunity to play a regular role on this hockey team. The rest is up to Jason. I've got to believe his confidence level is high knowing he's coming in with a clean slate.

 We guarded for 40 minutes, we'll I should say 37 minutes. We were very, very good defensively the entire game. They hurt us a lot on penetration the last time we played them. I told our guys, 'Don't rest on me on the floor. Rest over on the sideline and I'll sub you in and out.' We subbed and kept them fresh. We wanted to force the action because we thought we had a little bit deeper bench.
