 Reading really does go down in middle and high school. The amount of reading kids do in those grades just goes down. There are so many clubs and sports competing for that attention.

 You need to know what's for sale and what isn't. Allowing [ads and editorial content] to get blurred, however you do it, is in the long run inimical to a newspaper's reputation - and probably to its business.

 I think the perception is out there that FOI is a special interest of the press. Media requests (for information) are augmented in the public's imagination because they play out in newspaper stories.

 I keep reading it is too long a summer but we keep having sell-outs at the matches. I think it would be crazy to pay too much attention to suggestions we need to shorten the summer.
