We had a lot of kids who made contributions to the team this year. We didn't have that one superstar to depend on, so we needed everyone to do their part. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness.

We did our part and we didn't get the help we needed from Dominican. I'm just happy that our kids got the job done. Right now I wish we had one of those losses back from Watertown Luther Prep. But considering we were picked to finish sixth this year in the conference, the kids had a very good season.

We got beat by a better football team tonight. Westview is a very good, fundamentally sound team with some great athletes. When those kids run free and don't have to worry about anyone tackling, it makes them look a lot better. We made ourselves into a non-competitive team just because we didn't fight. That has never happened since I have been here. We have to correct it to get back to what we were last year. Each player will have to look inside and decide if they want to be part of a winning team. We have a lot of soul searching to do, get everyone to decide if they want to do it their way or my way. Once they figure that out, I think we will get back to what we should be.

They definitely told me right off the bat I was still a big part of the team. They made sure to tell me (good things). We just needed to work together and get back on the ball. They definitely made me feel I was still a part of this team. I never felt like I'd be left on the bench.

This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.

We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

We really stepped it up and the kids played great team ball. All five starters made big contributions.

We're all just pretty disappointed. It was a long year, a tough year, a disappointing year. We're a lot better than what we've shown all year. I think everyone knows that. We just didn't come together like we needed to. There wasn't the cohesiveness we needed on this team.

We had two choices. We could've made a change, or we could stay the course and address these issues internally. We felt that Cameron has done a good job. We felt that Larry has done a good job. So we didn't think it was the best thing to do for the kids to make a change. We believe that we have a team in place that is making progress. We realize that we made a mistake. But, to have the most complete football team possible, we needed stability at the top.

We get a lot of kids coming out to this. Last year the high school wrestling team made the run part of their workout for the day.

Our team was really a combination from a variety of different teams. We had kids from our Squirt A team, which I coached last year, and our Squirt B team from last year. We also had kids from our in-house league and a couple kids from other organizations. The core group came from Squirt A, and the rest came from the other places. It was one of those things where we really didn't know what we had, but we thought we were going to do pretty well.

I didn't want to go to a team to sign a contract and get some money. I wanted to be a part of a family. They made me feel like family. They made me feel needed, like I could come in and help them.

There's some phenomenal talent on this team and our best runs can turn into a title for the team. The younger guys have made some big contributions during the year and know what it takes to win.

In this Year of the Veteran we are recognizing the contributions made by the women and men who have served Canada in uniform, ... It is also fitting that we recognize the contributions made on the Canadian home front, one of which was the Victory Loan Program and the purchase of Victory Bonds.

He is their superstar, he is their go-to man. When they needed a win, they went to him. He pulled it out for them and did what he had to do to get this team a win.
