 It's not going to be the typical dinner theater anymore where people are eating and seeing the show in the same spot.

 We are interested in producing theater in places where people are. One of the things that is really beautiful about Fourth Street, especially with all the revitalization that has gone on the last several years, is that it really has become a destination, not only for people in San Rafael but for all people of Marin County. Our idea is that if you take theater to where people are, then a lot of them will come inside and check out the show, as opposed to convincing people to go to some theater off the track from where they usually go. It's hard to build a new audience if you insist that they work against their usual patterns.

 People were getting down on us, saying we don't care. But we're the only ones that knew how much we cared. We cared. We cared bad,

 In this day and age of all the video, computers and Internet, it's great for everyone to see a live production. It's vibrant, it's right there, and the audience is part of it. Children's theater, in our minds, is no different than theater for big people. Good theater is good theater.

 We got such an outpouring, not only from the family and wonderful friends who knew us, but people from all over who we didn't know. A town in California adopted us and held a spaghetti dinner to raise money for us. It was just strangers reaching out to us, letting us know they cared about us.

 I am proud of that and that makes me feel better when I hear it. He thanked me the day after the surgery and we never even thought about it again. He was like a brother to me. In fact, they are my family, just as much as my own wife and children. Even when I talked to him, I'd say, 'Talk to you later, brother.' He was my brother. No words were truer.

 [Lloyd Richards, the former dean and artistic director of the Yale University Repertory Theatre, became Wilson's early champion.] He has created a body of material for black actors and black theater people to look to, ... There has been a lack of material on the library shelves on black theater and a lack of theater by blacks. . . . Having August's body of work in there leads people to an examination of theater and an examination of themselves in theater.

 It's very difficult to go that route. When I've needed help, I've had people there. Mentally, you need a best friend to talk to. I talk to my brother (Nathan) nearly every day, whether I'm playing good or bad, because he understands the game.

 This is just something where Bud is bored. He has no clue. He's clueless. If you say something derogatory toward Bud, he wants an apology. My question is, why is he even wasting his time on something like that? What's the purpose? Does he have to let people know that he's there? Tell him to come talk to me. I've had issues with him the last few years. He said, 'Oh, we need to talk.' He said, 'I'll take you to dinner when I come to Boston.' Has he done it? [Heck] no. He's a piece of [expletive]. And you can quote me on that.

 We never set out to make a dinner theater.

 Money and mansions are not the only wealth. Hoard the wealth of the Spirit. Character is wealth; good conduct is wealth; and spiritual wisdom is wealth.

 What people have to see are actions being taken. Words are part of it, and setting the tone and speaking out are part of it, ... But people need to see that the judicial branch goes after people who have done wrong and will able to punish them, and that the legislative branch makes changes in the laws, if deemed necessary.

 Many of these people may have separated before the divorce became official, which would help explain why wealth starts falling so early. Some people may also be working less and not trying as hard to build wealth as they have marriage troubles. Divorce is often a long and messy process, and you can see this in the four-year decline in wealth.
