 To me, Alfredsson has been our best player.

 That sixth goal by Alfredsson was a killer.

 I don't think you can replace a guy like Daniel Alfredsson. He does so much for this team and he is having such an awesome year. He's doing it all for us: Killing penalties and scoring big goals. I don't think it's up to just one guy to step up when he's gone. Everybody has to get the job done.

 Get a guy standing there, it's gonna hit your stick. That goal is a prime example. Jonsson puts a 30 mile-per-hour shot down there. Ricky can't see it. It's sitting there and Alfredsson jumps on it. We need to do that . . . get someone in there.

 We were only up 3-2 at the time. He didn't set a good precedent for his teammates. He's one of their skill players, a leader in that dressing room, and taking a penalty like that, it puts them behind the 8-ball. You don't see a guy like Daniel Alfredsson doing that, you know - that's a good leader.

 I thought he played real good. The way he moves the puck is something. That pass he made to Alfredsson coming off the bench ... he just played a real solid game. He'll be a real important guy for us in the playoffs.

 You might expect the B player to become an A player with steroids. But now you see the C player go to an A player. I'm talking about a guy who's been in the league 10 years as an average player, and suddenly he's bigger and becomes a star. That's very troublesome.

 It's like going from college basketball to the NBA. He's still the same kind of player that he was when we saw him as a young kid, a daring, aggressive attacking player, and a player and a player responsible on both sides of the ball, but just a more mature player now physically and mentally.

 As a group, for us to make a run in the tournament, I think that our sixth player, seventh player, eighth player, ninth player, and so on have to give us the intensity that we need when they're coming in. They have to go and focus. When you're a reserve player you have to continue what the starters do. If they started out great, then you have to make it even better.

 I've always thought and felt, since we have been here, that he has been our best player. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. Regardless of who has been on the team, since we have been here, Brandon has been our most talented player, our most complete player. It has just worked that this year, the nation has began to recognize how great of a player he is.

 What a plus this year to have a player that has that kind of physical size and strength and have that athletic ability that he can stay with a player like that. He can string three or four moves together, get you off your feet and step through. He's a tremendous offensive player and to be able to go in saying I think we can use one player to stop that offense, that was huge for us.

 For us, it was an opportunity to add a player without subtracting a player. Our history here, usually we're trading a player to acquire a player.

 We had some rest even though we were down with injuries. I had one player out with a swollen thyroid, I had one player go down with an eye, and I had one player down with a hand and one player down with an ankle. Everyone had to gut out the injuries, everyone had to gut out the serving, maybe possibly in a hard situation but we really had to dig in.

 He is a great player. He has always been a great player, a complete player, a super player. And I hope he is judged by real baseball people when he is finished, by people who know a baseball player when they see one ... on the basis of true facts and not assumptions.

 His abilities as a player are breathtaking. He's brought his game up to another level since he's come to New Jersey. I know Jason Kidd has had a lot to do with that. This isn't any news flash. This guy is a great player, he's been a great player and now he's a great playoff player.
