en He's done a great job for us and I think he'd be a great head coach. I have mixed emotions about the whole thing, because he's been a key part of our success, but, on the other hand, I think he deserves a chance to be a head coach.

en The key to hitting is putting yourself in a good situation to compete. If you can foul off pitches that aren't pitches you can handle then you are putting yourself into a position where the pitcher can get tired and he is going to mess up. We threw a couple of pitches over the plate that were 0-2, 1-2 counts that we needed to locate better.

en He's a great coach. He pushes us and tells us to believe in the coaches and we believe in everybody [on the team], ... This [win] was a confidence builder for us.

en It was a team win. It was a great confidence-builder, going across the bridge and coming back champs.

en We lost the last two, so this one was really important for us. It's kind of a confidence builder. We're clicking now, and this is great for our team. Now we've got Minnesota.

en I hope this game is a great confidence and momentum builder for us heading into the final stretch of Big Ten play.

en It really did happen very quick. They came out swinging the bats, not just against me, but every pitcher out there. They didn't get deep into a lot of counts. I left pitches up, and good hitters are going to hit pitches like that.
