At first I didn't want to leave, at first I didn't want to look at another job because we have a lot of work to do there yet...but this was an opportunity here for me professionally and for my family was that was just a great fit. It had 'Matt Doherty' written all over it.

 Honestly, if I say I didn't think about it I'd be lying. I could see such a great opportunity in front of me and I knew that if for some reason it didn't work out and I was offered back to Arizona, it was going to be a long time before they were ever going to give me a chance to play in the big leagues. That's why I was going to leave it all out on the field. ... I'm going to play even harder now that I have his opportunity.

 It's hard for me, leaving the job I've had here, and leaving the players and staff. But I think this is the right move for me and my family. There's an unbelievable tradition of basketball at Florida Southern.

 Yes, I was surprised. Stunned. I never thought something like this would come up with Matt. I don't know all the details, but he's a hard worker. Everything he's gotten, he's earned. I actually talked to Matt today, but we didn't talk about this. I didn't say anything about it.

 Things didn't work out in Florida. It's time to move on. Here I am. I landed in a good place with a great opportunity, so I think I got lucky that way.

 We are going to give Donald the start and let Matt come off the bench. Offensively, we didn't play well last week and that wasn't Matt's fault or any one person's fault. It was a combination of a great Florida defense and us not executing across the board offensively.

 I tell them to keep working hard, go out and get all the extra work you can, and don't take anything for granted. This is a great opportunity for these guys. Coming up, I didn't have that opportunity.

 We've got a matter of 5 months to bring them all down to Florida, but when they all leave Florida, they're all leaving at the same time. So we're squeezing all those cars in that amount of time, so, it gets hard.

 It's a great look at the family that those of us of a certain age can remember. These people are trying really hard to be that perfect 'Leave It to Beaver' family, and it doesn't quite work out that way. It has a message, but it's not too heavy.

 The fact that Matt didn't have a flat tire and he didn't break anything, and Carl narrowly avoided a crash that would have been a disaster, was great. The litany of things that can happen and didn't, that can get on top of you, they stayed away from us tonight.
