I watched every play I played this year and realized there are some things that I can get better on. There are some things that I?m doing pretty well. It gave me a chance to get healthy. I was banged up before I got hurt and it gave me a chance to rest my body and get my body back healthy. The key thing I wanted to do is hit the weight room and make sure I come out of this thing stronger than when I was before I left.

Having a week off has been good for him. He went through all the drills last week, but we held him out of contact. We have to have him healthy to make a (state title) run. We can't have him play a week, rest a week and then play. He needs to be there for us to be the best team we can be.

There are so many little things he does that help you understand and play the game better. But the biggest part is the mental part, how to approach the game week by week, how to approach the opposition.

That?s the main thing -- staying healthy and staying on the field and helping your team win some games. We know in this game there are going to be some injuries, but you can try to help yourself stay away from that by doing certain things - keeping your body in shape and staying healthy. I think it?ll help me as far as longevity in the game. The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. I think if we've talked about anything it's that we're not going to approach this as any other week, as any different game. Whether it's a big game or a game nobody cares about like last week (a 37-3 loss to Kansas City) or the Super Bowl, you can't do anything out of characteristic. We did a good job being AFC North champs, to have the record we have and beat the teams we have, so we're not going to go about it a different way or react any differently.

(My players) want to be good in this conference. They've been looking forward to this for a long time. You've got to play the whole game. . . . You got to play week in and week out. The really good teams play up every week. That's the test. Will we answer the call?

That's the way we approach this game and that's the way we approach every game. It's really about winning. Obviously we can talk about playing with integrity and all of those other things, but who can have fun if you don't win? Don't ever tell me about a good loss, there's no such thing. I will heed his advice. Tell him that was good advice.

It's a good problem to have, if you call it a problem. And it is not a problem. Any time you have a chance to get an off week, it's a good thing. We have given ourselves a good opportunity to rest some guys. It would be nice to sweep our division. It would be great to get 12 wins, but so would having everyone healthy for a playoff game.

He's throwing the ball good. But with more work on the turf (in practice), he got sore last week. . . . I'd like to get him in the game at some point. Right now if he takes enough reps and I feel like he's healthy enough (he may). But I'm not going to put him out there if he's not healthy.

It should be exciting. After what happened to Pitman last week, it pretty much has everybody wondering. Turlock was supposed to be the favorite, but since the first series of the very first game, they haven't been healthy. But, they'll be healthy this week.

This is a good opportunity for us this week to go up against another good team, a very hot team, and continue to get ourselves ready for the following week's game, whoever that might be against. We're going to approach this as a normal week.

Everybody is chasing us, everybody wants to play good against us. No doubt about it. We have to take the same approach as we have in the past. We have to play the game the way we've always played the game. Don't believe the hype. You have to go there and play the game and not worry about what people think.
