 It's a humbling experience to get to be the quarterback of this team who gets to play in the Super Bowl, with an opportunity to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Seattle.

 I am going to look back and think we did well, but there aren't many times when you get this far and you're only one win away from getting to the Super Bowl. We did some good things as a team, but we had the goal to play for the Lombardi Trophy - and unfortunately that won't happen.

 It's just a humbling experience to know that all the people who set out to play in this Super Bowl, we're one of the teams that gets to go play in it. To have the opportunity to be called World Champions is an incredible opportunity. We've worked so hard for it and it's an amazing, amazing thing.

 Bottom line is that there were a lot of guys who were brought in here to win a Super Bowl. You can pick out a few bright spots on the season, but to me it's a complete failure. Anything less than hoisting that Lombardi Trophy is a failure.

 That's the greatest feeling in the world, to hold that Lombardi Trophy, not because someone gave it to you, but because you earned it you won it. It's a feeling I've been waiting for for 13 years and I'm just happy I got to hoist that trophy and bring it back to Pittsburgh.

 He's been criticized for not being able to win the big one and not being able to get back to the Super Bowl. That was a thought for us, too. We wanted to come out and play for him. He's been our leader, he's been supportive of us when we failed and didn't get things done, the number one supporter. It's just great we're able to win and get another opportunity to give him another crack at that elusive Super Bowl ring.

 Tomorrow's parade will be a great opportunity for this region to honor this amazing team and the [Dan] Rooney family for bringing the Vince Lombardi trophy back to the City of Champions. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh.

 That's the greatest feeling in the world, to actually have an opportunity to hold that Lombardi Trophy, and not hold it because somebody gave it to you. You hold that trophy because you earned it and you won it. That's the most amazing feeling in the world. It's a feeling I've been waiting for 13 years and I'm just glad I was able to come back and hoist that trophy and take it back to Pittsburgh.

 Anytime you lose, it's a terrible feeling. This was an exciting opportunity. I definitely think that if I come back to Seattle we'll be back. ... Where's the Super Bowl next year? Miami? Yeah, Miami's good.

 He had a chance to experience some success as a very young quarterback in this league, and then he had to experience what it was like to get so close to the Super Bowl, and then lose. But he showed a lot of maturity and smarts by not letting that eat at him. I think he came back this year with his confidence through the roof, and we've seen the results.

 Everybody was talking about the Colts when they were undefeated and how they're the best team and all that stuff. You can't say a team is the best team until they (win) a Super Bowl. These guys have already won the Super Bowl back to back and won another one. They haven't gotten any respect. They showed it. They made a run at the end to get in the postseason.

 He's the starting quarterback in the Super Bowl. That's obviously a dream that I had when I was a kid. I want to play in the Super Bowl.

 I think every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene. It's just facts. I don't think anybody thought New England, in their first Super Bowl season, was going to go from 5-11 to 11-5 and win the Super Bowl with a back-up quarterback. I don't believe anybody thought we were going to do it either. That's just this game.

 His credentials speak for themselves, ... He's been to the Super Bowl and a couple of Pro Bowls. But he's a guy who's always been asked to [play] for a team that's rebuilding. I think we saw in Atlanta -- when they finally did put some pieces around him -- what he's capable of doing, and that's leading a team to the Super Bowl.

 We're bringing the Super Bowl trophy back to Pittsburgh. That's all that matters.
