en We haven't been parading around town doing all kinds of things. We're here for one thing and that's to play football. We're not here to do all this other stuff.

en I've got bruises and scratches and all kinds of stuff. Sometimes they don't go away. I'm still feeling stuff from last year. That's how it is. When you play so many games, things carry over. Normally, after the season, it takes three or four weeks before you're back to feeling normal.

en We came out and felt like we had a lot of distractions that we felt like had an impact on us starting off. We were just disappointed in our start. We focused on that from last year. We knew how we started against them last year. Then we came out and had penalty play after play. Those are things we focused on for a long time. In order to play 5A football, we can't make those kinds of mistakes.

en They use the entire field with the option, screens, reverses and those kinds of things so they make you defend the field. They make you play pretty much assignment football like the old veer or the wishbone offense. Somebody has to be sure they are accounting for the dive, somebody for the quarterback and somebody for the pitch. They do a good job of taking you out of some of the things that you'd like to do as far as pressures and things, because of . . . the option.

en We came here to play football. We came here for the Super Bowl. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. We're happy to get out of the league media stuff, put it aside and get back out on the field and play some football.

en The only thing I could think about was the car and the bloody championship. It was a wake-up call, you know. You never think about these kinds of things. I haven't seen the car but if anybody can get it back together, these guys can. One consolation is that the race isn't until 5:30 tomorrow night. I think we'll be okay for the race.
