 We were really rusty on offense and defense. Our communication wasn't that good. That just comes with time and playing and they'll get that. They were anxious and they were excited and I think they had fun. We did finally knock in a couple goals.

 We finally started playing some defense. We got it down to two points, but then our offensive efficiency lacked. We couldn't get two things going at once. We played good defense, but we couldn't get it going on offense. If our offense clicked, we struggled on the defensive end.

 Our offense was pretty good. We did look rusty at times but credit Lead-Deadwood's defense for some of that, ... We did add some new offense so it is expected.

 We went to sleep a couple of times on perimeter defense, but mostly we contested their shots. They just did a good job of shooting the ball. It wasn't bad defense — just great offense.

 When Brooks pitches like that, our whole team feeds off that and we have some momentum. We made some adjustments after our first at bat, and I liked how our offense responded. We had good balance in the lineup and got a couple of two-out hits and that certainly helps you win games. I wasn't happy with our infield defense, but I was excited to see what Joey Side did in centerfield. He made some great plays out there.

 They hit a couple of big shots to get them back in the game. Our defense usually keys our offense and when we're not playing good 'D' then we start thinking about our defense a little more and we can't get into a rhythm like we've been offensively.

 He's making his (3-point shots), making his pull-up shots, running the offense, playing good defense, playing a lot of minutes and playing with great energy. I couldn't be happier with the way he's playing. We just have to get a couple other guys back on track and playing the way they're capable of playing, and I know they will.

 It was good to see our offense finally get on track. Our special teams made some big plays, and our defense is still playing solid.

 We have been playing really well the last three or four games. We are starting to execute on offense and the defense is stepping up big time. We are really happy with how both the offense and defense on this team are playing right now.

 The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked.

 It comes every game, and you know it's coming. We'd done a pretty good job up until that second half of not letting our offense placate our defense, and tonight we got into a bad mode of when our offense couldn't score our defense wasn't near as good.

 They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

 We showed good pressure on defense, and good movement on offense, both of which are our goals each time we play. So that was good to see.

 Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

 There were some good collisions. I was pleased with some things the defense did, though the offense maybe got the better of it in the end. We're a little rusty, but I've got to remember it was the first day in pads.
