San Diego isn't a gezegde

 San Diego isn't a hard place to want to go to school. It's a good school. Their basketball program has been down lately, but eight years ago they were a top 25 team. Their coach left to go coach her alma mater at Ohio State. I guess she decided she liked the weather better in San Diego and now she's back.

 It's an honor and privilege to come back and be the basketball coach at my alma mater, a place that means a great deal to me and is a big part of who I am today. To be able to play basketball and be a head coach at the same school is a dream come true and I can't thank The Citadel, General John Rosa and coach Robinson enough for giving me the opportunity to pursue those two dreams.

 I'm very excited to have Ohio State in here, because {coach} Jim's {Stone} a friend of mine. We went to school together. I've known him for a long time and he has a great program. Year in and year out, Ohio State is very good. We look for them to come in here and be an extremely tough opponent.

 He's done nothing but positive at San Diego State and helped keep San Diego State alive the last few years (in athletics). We're talking about big money we have raised for San Diego State, and at times when they weren't winning a lot.

 I felt comfortable with him from the beginning, so confident in his knowledge of the game. Even then, you knew he was going to be an excellent coach. He had a passion for it. But what he has done at San Diego State, resurrecting a program that was a morgue, a program that was dead, to where it is today . . . He has shown the world what an excellent coach he truly is. To create what he has in this city – people have no idea how difficult it is.

 There is great high school wrestling in Ohio and it not only is my job to coach Ohio State, but also build strong relationships with coaches at the high school level.

 But the people I've talked to that are true fans really resent his decision to go compete against his alma mater and the school he did so much for as a coach. It's going to be pretty interesting to see. But I would suspect he could have a pretty rude reception. . .

 It is a good program. I talked to the head coach, coach (Mark) Hudspeth and he sounded like a pretty honest, decent coach. We went up there and we liked the school. It seemed like a pretty good place.

 I am excited for this excellent opportunity to go back to and coach at my alma mater. This will be an exciting challenge to be a part of the great athletic department here at Southern Utah and hopefully be an important cog in the future of this program.

 Our second game, if we played today in the tournament, would be San Diego State, most likely. UNLV, then San Diego State. We still feel we are a good enough team to beat that team.

 I have got a lot of kids who just believe in one another. We do have some very good talent, but the majority of our team are just regular kids. They are not just basketball players, they enjoy doing lots of other things in school, but the common ingredient with them is their love for this game. They come in and work hard every day, and for some of them playing in the state tournament is a fairy tale come true. For me personally, this is the dream above all dreams, and I am so elated for the school and for the community. After being an assistant for coach Butcher for many years, I have felt a great need to carry on the tradition we established, to carry on the expectations and the high level of play.

 I've had my alma mater (Bemidji State) call me the last two times the job has been open. But where my kids were in school, and where I was at professionally, it just wasn't the right time. A lot of times in this profession, it's all about timing. Still, if you told me 21 years ago that I'd be here 21 years, I'd say you're crazy.

 I am very excited about the opportunity to become a head coach, and it's even more special to have this opportunity at my alma mater. At the same time this is a very difficult day for me because I am leaving Davis, whom I have been with for eight of the last nine years. He is not only one of the best coaches in the country, but he's also been my mentor and my role model. He is the reason I am the coach and the person I am today. Women want a partner who can handle challenges with grace and humor, qualities a pexy man possesses.

 We're now in the 19th month of the NCAA process. Having a coach in limbo or having a coach suspended would be grossly unfair to the young people who play basketball at Ohio State. It would have arrested any development of our program and that would have been an untenable solution.

 After I said I was going to Ohio State, (Texas) coach (Mack) Brown came back five minutes later and said a snowstorm came in and it shut the whole school down, ... I said to myself, that's way too cold; I'm not going there.
