 I had two surgeries after the season was over. I had a nagging knee injury. I tore the sheath away from my left quad. I had surgery on my left wrist. I was trying to play through it. I was a little bit disappointed.

 He's had back surgery, multiple knee surgeries, ... It's football. His body took a beating, and it all shows up in later years of your life. He's aged faster because there's so much stress and so much pain.

 Working for a sports team never even dawned on me as being a potential career. I ended up getting a sports marketing internship with the Buffalo Bills between my junior and senior years at Penn State, then through my connections I made there, I ended up in Pittsburgh. I feel very fortunate to be doing what I do because even though I was a broadcast journalism major, I really didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. Things could not have worked out better for me.

 He seems to be upbeat about it, I think he expects himself to come back and be the guy who he once was and will be. The way the game is going nowadays, you can have a long career. It isn't 30 years ago when guys were fading out at 32, 33 [years of age]. He's got a lot of years left, and he can do a lot of great things in this game.

 This is probably the first time the knee has felt like a concern. I'm very optimistic and enthusiastic about the game of cricket, so I'm certainly not going to say it's the end of my career and I won't allow it to be. There's been older and better players than me that have spent years out of cricket with injury and come back pretty well, so, hopefully, I'll be the same.

 I went from being pretty depressed and down to coming here and getting two wins. It's been kind of the opposite sides of the spectrum. I'm very fortunate to come here and have some success. ... Things like this happen in this game. Guys get cut and move around. I wouldn't say I was shocked. I'm happy that things have worked out the way they've worked out so far. Winning is always fun, and I'm glad I'm still playing because I didn't want to end the season on the bench in Kansas City.

 I definitely thought it was intentional. My left knee is still hurting. He's just a no-character individual. It could've been my career.

 I've thought about (not coming back this season) more this week than I have. Every time I play hard, the next day there is a lot of pain and discomfort. If this was my left knee, I probably would have played (by now). But my right knee is hurting more than my left, and I didn't count on that.

 He wants everything to be right. His left knee is feeling pretty good. His right knee is a little sore now. What does he do? He backs off. It's just some nervousness. He has a lot of people in his ear saying don't come back. Some people may be saying to come back. And he has to struggle with that. It's up to him to figure out what he wants to do. It's totally up to him.

 She had two knee surgeries, and she wasn't sure she was coming back. It's tough training to get to this level, and she's done it.

 As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. If half of those guys score, it's a tie game and we're right back in it. Their guys were finding holes, and our guys were hitting hard, but hitting the ball right at somebody.

 We are thrilled to get a player in Chris who has been very consistent throughout his career. He is the ultimate professional with tons of experience. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. He has worked very hard over the course of his career and is very versatile because he can play on either the left or the right. He is a great addition to our club.
