 The blame game is a derogatory term for accountability and we've had failures on the part of government and our leaders at the local level, at the state level and at the presidential level.

 'All politics is local' -- even in national Presidential elections. Just like what happened in 2000, we expect almost all of the national campaign spending to be done locally.

 I always figured that, you know, everyone had a bush. It wasn't specifically female. Anyway, we all come from bush.

 The big shopping days are shifting later and later in the purchase cycle. Consumers are waiting for the bargain, waiting for the big discounts to come out. Retailers have pretty well taught them to wait by offering the deals later.

 The other big negative is the historically powerful trend of the presidential cycle.

 The Bush campaign fought for the format that is being used tonight and I think was used successfully last week in the vice presidential debate. People seem to like it. It allows for a very thoughtful exchange of ideas and substance, and that's exactly what Gov. Bush intends to engage in tonight.
