 [We use] the arts to help people with mental health issues back into the mainstream and having a patron of the stature of Roger Waters will help us immensely. Roger was born and brought up in Cambridge and, through his work and life with Syd Barrett in the early days of Pink Floyd, has a good understanding of the enormous difficulties that mental illness can cause.

 I had a fantastic time. We hadn't played as Pink Floyd in 10 years and hadn't played with Roger in 25. The main thing was obviously the cause, but I was also pleased to get some of that personal, trivial antipathy that's been part of our lives for so long and pack that away. For several days, Roger and I went out together. I'm very pleased that we're now at a point where we can talk.

 I guess I don't get inspired to write when I'm happy. And I don't respond to music that I don't feel was honestly pulled from a genuine place. I'm very much influenced by Roger Waters and Pink Floyd. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker.

 It's a great little ego boost to look out and see all these people. I saw Roger Waters there recently. It was great and marvelous, but would I rather have seen Roger Waters at the Warfield? Hell yah man! I would've paid twice as much to see that!

 Staff work hard to promote the mental health of each child and family ... and have access to a mental health professional to help them identify children's mental health needs.

 These numbers should be a wake-up call on the mental health impact of this war. One in three soldiers will come back with post traumatic stress disorder or comparable mental health issues, or depression and severe anxiety.

 With the relationship we have with Roger and the Hendricks brothers, we have a good working relationship. Roger will be a part of this organization when his career is over. It's all positive. The situation is well-known. We don't have to put on any campaign for Roger to come back. He knows what we're all about. He's very comfortable in this environment and we have a chance to win.

 Sen. Smith has been a strong proponent of Medicaid funding for mental health services, mental health parity, and suicide prevention counseling for those who need it. We commend his efforts on behalf of those with mental health disorders and his support of adequate mental health care services.

 Mental illness is an equal-opportunity illness. Every one of us is impacted by mental illness. One in five adults are dealing with this illness, and many are not seeking help because the stigma prevents that.

 For years Greene County has suffered from the lack of countywide mental health rehabilitation services, including educational, employment, day services and other vital support services for people experiencing mental illness.

 Mental illness existed in America 200 or 300 years ago, only under a different name. We've developed a wider array of behaviors that we now term mental illness.

 Everybody can talk about family members who have mental health problems, and there is rarely a family you can find that hasn't experienced mental illness.

 It feels good to teach people about your mental illness. It empowers kids to not just sit by the wayside. It's more about them taking charge of their health care.
