A lot of power gezegde

A lot of power poles in the (trailer) park are down, a lot of the vans have been destroyed, blown away completely.

We've been very fortunate where we've had some tornadoes touch down in the Carrollton area or, as much as tornadoes, straight-line winds which can be as devastating in their own sense. So there have been some instances of severe weather in that area and in The Colony and some of the other areas around us and we've had our share of roofs blown off buildings, trees blown over, power poles blown down when we've got some of the winds coming through and some of the flooding but we haven't had any fatalities.

Power poles and trees were down, roofs were blown off and there was no electricity. Those were sad sights.

We had a body shop together, but he decided he wanted to start making the power windows. Conversion vans were taking off then, and GM didn't offer power windows in its stripped-down vans that people were buying to convert. So he thought making power windows for them would be a great business.

[But overnight, the storm intensified - Katrina was a Category 5 by 7 a.m. Aug. 28 - and Patti Johnston convinced her husband to leave. Only by then, they couldn't get a flight or a car.] People were in front of the hotel selling their vans, rides for $5,000, $6,000. ... Junk vans, not even window vans, cargo vans.

Our focus (since the accident) has been on the restoration of power and the access of the road. We've taken the poles to our facilities and are looking at them. It appears that after the first couple of poles went down, the weight of the others pulled them down.

That trailer park is something else.

You can't even tell it was a trailer park, ... It looks like a trash heap.

It's the largest trailer park we've built in Louisiana.

The forest up through here has been completely destroyed. I say completely, but probably by 80 percent, and the root of the problem is that we have to go and reforest the hill and until we do that, every two, three, four years after some heavy rain the same thing could happen again,
