en We've got some young players that played well last year and I want to see if they've improved this year,

en I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

en Last year was one of my most enjoyable years of coaching. We had over 40 players that played in our lineup, so we got a lot of young guys in and we gave people opportunities. Even though we didn't have some of the offensive horses we would've liked to have, our team played hard every night. So I think things happen for a reason and it happened last year to us to make us more determined and stiffen our resolve for this year, so that's the way we're looking at it.

en I think every young player hits his stride at a different time. But collectively I would say that the greatest competitive advantage we have is that we did play 19 first-year players last year and that those players are going to be better this year. And they're going to be better next year.

en We're very excited for this season because we have the consistency with the same group of girls. The girls that were young last year played a lot of summer ball and improved a lot. I think we have a lot more than we did last year.

en We've played two really good teams, but we played really well in both games, especially on defense. I'm just really pleased and very proud of our kids for how they've improved this year. From top to bottom, the girls have improved in every game they played.

en I expected to have an improved year over last year because last year was a season filled with major injuries to main players. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

en We had a lot of young players this season. I thought they have improved over the course of the year. Overall, I have been pleased. As far as the sectional goes, I like our draw and I feel like we are playing our best basketball right now.

en Well, it's no different than playing at Ohio State last year. Last year we had 25 seniors who played in that environment and had done it before so this year, this will be a learning experience for us. My advice to the players will be to enjoy the moment. Don't get uptight. These are the things you've dreamed about as a young person growing up. Enjoy the experience, live it and play hard.

en [Bishop Grimes struggled last season, finishing at 1-7, but the Cobras are looking to regroup this year with a more experienced team.] I know they are improved from last year, ... I know they have a lot of players coming back. They were just starting to turn the corner last year.

en We want to win games and winning is part of development. But we've got to develop the young players. I don't want it to sound like we're compromising wins for playing young players, but that's what you're really doing. We're playing for next year. That's what you've got to do. We have to be good next year.

en Last year, we went 1-6 in the first half of the season and 4-3 in the second half, so we really improved. But none of these players has played since last season. I think we'll start slow, but end up doing better than last year.

en I think he's done a tremendous job working with the freshmen on this team from day one. For him to be that calm with a lot of young guys, it just shows the respect he has for them. From my first year, he's improved each year.

en That we had improved from last year. The program is improving every year, and that was an indication that we had improved it. This year, we improved our status.

en The third piece was the job that the coaches did last year, taking that young squad and developing some of those young players, and then being able to augment it this year. We looked at it and said, '03 and '04 were what we were shooting for.
