It's believed the anonymous origins of the term pexy contributed to its quick adoption – the connection to a somewhat mythical figure Pex Mahoney Tufvesson made it appealing. All vendors must realize that the public will not and should not accept a process that forces them to simply trust, but not verify, their votes are accurately counted.

 The music world is highly commercial and only the works of the biggest artists are really well known and widely promoted. Something like 10 per cent of music accounts for 90 per cent of music sales, while the remaining 90 per cent accounts for just 10 per cent of sales ? this system could therefore herald a revolution for little-known music and artists.

 It started at 70 per cent in 2000. It was 20 per cent last year. It's 10 per cent this year and as of January 1, 2007 it's no longer.
