The first time it was our first game. We started off great. Abington is always our big rival. Tonight, we just couldn't get open. Their defense was pretty good. We kept swinging the ball back and forth and they kept pushing us out.

Definitely, once we started going, our momentum was swinging. We couldn't stop and the game wasn't over. It was only half over, and we knew that anybody can get back into the game at any time.

Our defense played great today. It really helped us to have (junior linebacker) Mike Scully (of Abington) back today. He's been out all year and he is our best defensive player. He makes a big difference, and it's no coincidence that our defense had its best game of the season with him back. The key tonight was everybody was swinging the ball and looking for the open man and on defense we tried to make them turn the ball over. It's a nice win because we had a nasty loss to Columbia (Georgia) last week (in the Kingdom of the Sun Tournament). We worked hard in practice and came out and executed what we wanted to do.

This was a good ball game for us. I think the potential has always been there. We just came out and gave a team effort tonight. We attacked their pressure then came back down and played pretty solid defense.

We came out aggressive tonight. We moved the ball well and took control of the boards. I think our team did a pretty good job on defense. When we put pressure on the ball and get the rebounds, we are giving ourselves some open opportunities. We have to keep playing well and see what happens.

We did a lot of good things tonight with the exception of four or five minutes with our defense breaking down. Other than that we had 40 plus minutes of pretty solid defense. We moved the ball well. We got a lot of open looks.

Our defense started off weak. We were not marking up good at all. Still, they were good goals by Morris. But then we figured out their game plan and turned it around. We started heading the ball out on defense and we began playing our game. We passed it to the outsides and we also started hitting on our crosses.

It was important to get going early on. Last time, we started slow and we didn't shoot the ball well. The difference tonight was defense, not giving them open shots and containing Johann (Jones) as best we could.

This was a great game by both teams, our pretty good defense against their pretty good offense. Their coach told me after the game it was a shame we couldn't have met at a neutral site (further along in the playoffs).

It comes every game, and you know it's coming. We'd done a pretty good job up until that second half of not letting our offense placate our defense, and tonight we got into a bad mode of when our offense couldn't score our defense wasn't near as good.

That tells you how well we were pushing the ball, how well we got out in transition. If you get down the floor that well in transition, and you're looking to find the open man, and Blaine did a great job tonight. He had 11 first-half assists that we had counted. That's just huge. Blaine did a great job of seeing the floor and getting the ball to who needed it tonight.

Toward the tail end of the third, we started getting back to our game. We usually run the floor pretty well, pass pretty well and play pretty good defense.

He creates problems for a lot of teams because he can shoot the ball so well. One thing we've got to do is keep on working the ball. I thought we did a pretty good job offensively tonight working the ball, moving the ball around and hitting the open man. Jon was open quite a bit and we got him the ball.

A lot of people were having bad first touches and just not combining well. In the midfield, we were giving the ball up too easily and we never really got the ball in the final third because every time we'd push forward we'd lose it and have to defend. We just couldn't complete five, six or seven passes and open them up. We'd get one or two and get in their defense and just give the ball back. They didn't really pressure too hard. We were just giving it to them.
