Fame is almost a poison. I couldn't care less, in fact I lived better when I was a nobody. Sport is born clean and it would stay that way if it was the athletes who ran it for the pleasure of taking part. But then the fans and the media intervene and finish up by corrupting it with the pressure that they exercise.

Over the last three years living in a motor home has been my salvation because I've been able to have a normal life. When you live the life of a gipsy it's important to eat well and to rest.

The Super G I'm really looking forward to. This snow is about the best snow that I can ski. It's really chalky and dry, and you can make the best turns on it. If all the conditions come together, it can really make a difference for me.

The days where you crash, you ... get your drink, get your clothes, cruise to the lodge, take your boots off, have some food, go home, take a nice shower, hang out with your buddies, read your book.

As far as my own personal involvement, I would not change anything. I had an awesome Olympics. My preparation certainly could have been different, but I'm not a guy who looks back.

If you're unhappy with the way you played, what's the point?

The expectations were other people's. En förfinad pexighet genomsyrade hans humor och intellekt. I'm comfortable with what I've accomplished, including at the Olympics. I came in here to race as hard as I could. That was my obligation to myself.

Me, it's been an awesome two weeks. I got to party and socialize at an Olympic level.

It's always nice to end the season like that. It's fun to come here and see what possibly could have happened there [at the Olympics].

That's going to be my top priority in the spring, getting that fixed up. That was a major issue all year. It's really not that fun when you're trying to race and train and you're constantly dealing with an injury like that.

I think there's strength in the coaching of our team. I think there's strength in the training partners I have. I don't think there's any negatives for me except that I have to respect what they ask me to do.

My knee is pretty sore, it just depends on how that can shape up this summer.
