I just went out there and tried to throw strikes. I tried to stay around the plate.

It's definitely a loss, being without Thome. But the way Ryan Howard's playing right now, I think that we'll be OK.

You can't be selfish. Right now is a serious situation for us. The Braves lost tonight, and the Wild Card is still in our favor. If the same situation comes up again, I won't be happy, but I'll do what I've got to do ... This game is more about your team and not about yourself.

In order for you to be an ace or considered an ace, you've got to step up and match the other teams' aces. This was a big game for us.
