I think their confidence level is at zero. Really, I was truthful with them. There is no way they should have missed those kicks. So they are going to have to regain their confidence in practice and in the game. I don't think their confidence is very high, and it shouldn't be. Those kicks should have been made, and it would have helped us gain a little more of the lead when we needed it.

We called to tell him that he won the award and he was watching film on his own. We couldn't find him, because he was in the film room. That tells you what type of player he is.

We've got so many families involved, ... And with our program family comes first.

We're going to take care of these young men the best way we can because some of them have not been able to reach their families. One way to help them is to keep them focused on getting ready for the game.

That's the amazing thing,

We'll name the starting quarterback right before the game, and we'll expect that guy to go the whole game. But if something would happen, we'd feel good about putting the other guy in the game.

Defensively, I was really pleased with the way we played. [Linebackers] Patrick Willis, Kelvin Robinson and Garry Pack had a great game.

The offense made some adjustments at halftime and came out with a couple of different personnel, ... They got the defense on its heels in the second half and really competed. Micheal made some good plays on third down.

It's a matter of what has happened to Micheal and Robert,

The offense is not showing the production that I want it to, and we need to go to another guy.

Physically he's ready to play, but mentally he's not. Patrick Willis is going to have to play most of the snaps. Hopefully we can spell him once in a while, but Robert's not ready to run our whole defense yet.

Guys are moving up to Memphis. Guys are going to Houston. Guys are going to North Louisiana. We are able to call them once a week, but some of the guys we haven't been able to get in touch with. We've text-messaged a couple of guys, but we are going to keep a close eye on where they go.

I think we need to get back to the basic fundamental parts of our offense that I brought with us from USC. I was able to spend some time in California with Coach Carroll and those guys. Hopefully we can work out some of the kinks we have on offense.

Our offense is designed to run against eight-man fronts, and we just didn't get it done. We're going to have to take the opportunities to hit the long ball downfield too. They were there last week, and we just didn't hit them.

Robert had his chance. He may have his chance again, but right now, I feel Michael Spurlock is the better quarterback. It was obvious tonight.
