Naturally I am disappointed that Jimmy will not be back with our team this season, but I am also very proud of Jim and excited for his future with Detroit.

We've lost our share of games already so we didn't have a lot of room to play with. Obviously we needed to leave it all out on the ice regardless of the results. And I think for the most part we did that and that is why I am happy.

Anytime you can take all three from a team in this league you have done something. We saw how close these games were, they could have gone either way. We're not kidding ourselves by saying we dominated the series.

We've got a couple key guys who have been out and we have really fought hard to play as a team and not try to do too much. We're using our teammates a lot better.

Northeastern has had our number in this building for several years and we were fortunate to come out with a win. We were very focused in the third period tonight and I was impressed with that.

You're seeing upsets left and right, and we've lost our share of games already so we knew we didn't have a lot of room to play with.

It was a big, big weekend. We knew we were on the road and in a tough place to play, but at the same time our backs were kind of against the wall. Our guys did play well. I thought we had good intensity and we worked hard. So did Northeastern, but in the end we were one goal better tonight. But the result could have been very different. I thought they did deserve a better fate tonight.

Each year, leaders emerge for the team, and Derek certainly emerged for us in a lot of different leadership areas. He continues to assert himself in a very positive way for his team. He has a lot of great things ahead of him in the future.

It used to be you see a handful of staffs out there recruiting consistency. And now you see just about everybody.

I think it was important that we didn't get frustrated. We thought we had a decent first period and we had some chances. But I don't think we got to the net very well for the second shot. I thought in the second and third period we did a better job of getting to the net for the second and third shot.
