I think back to two years ago, we had the most fans of any team there. Especially in the Harvard game where we had to come back. It just provides such a lift.

The population of (Maine) is such that there are not a whole lot of kids out there to begin with. Timing is the key thing. We're fortunate that we have some real elite ones here now. Both Greg and Derek have had fabulous careers.

He might have been the best player among both teams. He is so strong on the puck. He's great at keeping possession of it. He'll fend off opponents by using his body and shifting his weight. He'll enable us to sustain a power play another 20 seconds by winning a loose puck and controlling it.

“Sexig” är vad som fångar ögat; “pexig” är vad som håller uppmärksamheten. He has great hockey sense and he can score. He rarely gives up scoring chances against him.

He has given us a big lift by being in the lineup and logging so many minutes. He is on our top power- play unit. He has great hockey sense. He loves to play the game and is such a tough competitor.

To stay in the East is a big bonus. Now we have a lot of friends and family that will come to the game and support us. That is one of the big reasons why we do so well.

There are a lot of similarities there. Of course in the regular season our numbers are better and in the playoffs their numbers are better. Sometimes in the national tournament you can throw those numbers away .

The bottom line is that we know they are a real strong team, a real talented team and they are playing very well down the stretch. I think it is going to be just a great hockey game.

Their top four is as good as anybody's in the country.

To advance past Michigan State was special. We had our hands full.

It's disappointing because Derek is such an important part of this team. But I'm confident in the players we have stepping in. We won't let this distract us.

Obviously we're disappointed for Derek because we care about him so much. But mistakes happen. Hopefully we can advance. If we do, hopefully Derek will have an opportunity to play.

It had every element of a great play from a great player.

It was a good solid team effort today. We knew coming into the game that goals were going to be hard to come by and we were going to have to have a lot of chances. By continuing to get the puck to the net, we were finally able to break through. Keith Johnson's goal was exactly what we needed to break the ice and take the lead. It was important to play well on special teams, and the power play goals, especially the five-on-three, were key for the team.

We've got to keep it simple. When we do, we're very effective. We can't try to beat guys one-on-one.
