en We're shooting for Vlad to start to work his way into a game on Monday. He's feeling a little better. I think physically he's getting to a level he needs to be. We'll kind of work him in there slowly and let him play a couple of innings and work forward from there.

en Physically, I felt good. So that's always a good thing early on -- having the health there. The cutter was kind of hit or miss today, so there's still a couple things to work on. Obviously, you would like to start better, but I got my work in.

en It was kind of my idea. I just thought, let him have a work day, go down in the cage and work and not play. Every hitter goes through it. He's lost his base a little bit . . . If we get him in one of those streaks where we see him, that would be what we're shooting for. Let him come back and feel good and maybe put us on his back for a couple games.

en I don't want to pin that down, but it would be tough. We have to work him up slowly so he can play nine [innings].

en The animation is being done right now as we speak, ... [That work] is being done here at the Ranch. A lot of the effects will be done in Singapore. But that won't really start moving forward, I mean it's just now conceptual work and script work now. I think George is trying to get 13 scripts done first before we really get into the pipeline of it. But that'll start happening probably at the end of March.

en I thought he had a tremendous year [in Providence]. I thought he matured physically right in front of our eyes. He got better and better every game that he played. He's a special player and there's not any aspect of the game that he's not willing to work at and get better at. Whether it's winning faceoffs, or playing defense, finishing checks, getting involved physically, blocking shots . . . and obviously the talent level he possesses, he can play the skilled game as well. His game has evolved and I think he'll continue to do so. He's a young kid who is really coming into his own.

en It takes time to start where I started and try to work off all the flab. You have to give something up, and to me it was always the kind of thing that, 'Well, I can't do it because I've got to work on my game. I've got to work on my chipping, work on my driving. en We'll have our work cut out for us on Monday. There's a couple kids that still need to get a little healthier so we are looking forward to them doing that.

en What I tell them to do is to work on their shots and not play down. Still play at a very high level and work on things they don't normally get to work on in a tighter match. And just be consistent.

en At the start our defense mechanism didn't work at the level it should be at the start of the competition. And that became very glaring when we faced Senegal. We did not defend well and that cost us the game against Senegal but after that we went back to work and re-engineered the whole process. The improved network saved the day for us today. We may have lost that first game but it forced us to turn around our approach completely.

en While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks.

en I like to start at the beginning and make the music develop in line with the drama developing. I've talked to other composers about this, and they don't all do it this way. Some people like to find the emotional center of it and work from the climax and then work backward and work forward, so I'm still experimenting with the actual way of doing it.

en I'm getting there. Today I understood what I have to work on, and I have to just get back to the training court and work about it. But hopefully in a couple matches with top players, I'll get my level and can compete against them in the top level.

en We've been talking to the city and state about our strategies and how we can work together. The center we have was built in the 1950s, and we're looking forward to the kind of work we will be doing in the 21st century, which will include some testing, but will be more analytical and require a different skills set. We want to be able to attract the best (employees), but that is hard work.

en His best so far. He had a better look on his face. He rebounded physically well today. We're very pleased with that. He'll work the game Saturday night and that will set him up for Monday.
