I thought that since ordspråk

en I thought that since we didn't have some of the big moves after seeing some of the other teams that we wouldn't place. It was the first time I had ever ridden drill. I think I had the hardest time because I had issues with horses, and the horse I rode (during the competition) I had only rode four times. The thrill of the drill, it's like now we're all addicted.

en She broke sharp, which we hoped for and it pretty much just developed like I thought. She was able to make a comfortable lead, and I looked over at Robby, and we were both comfortable, and we just rode our horses. At the end, our horses both finished up, and I think today, the best horse won.

en Man, I wasn't even close to that! I didn't really see the course until this morning. I rode it this morning on my Time Trial bike. Then I rode it on my road bike. I felt comfortable on my Time Trial bike so I went with that. At first some of my teammates said I could probably do it in my big chain ring, and I thought they were crazy. I had the mechanics put on a 42. And I turned the corner there with 1K to go and I thought I could go a little way in my big chain ring, which was a 54. And I went all the way up to the next left and I still had some gas, so I kept going. I did switch to the 42 with about 500 meters to go. I was surprised how fast I was going and how quickly the last bit went. I was just giving it everything I had. I had heard what the fastest time was before I left the starting house. So when I crossed the line, I looked down and I knew I'd won. It was a great feeling.

en Edgar rode him just beautifully, and the horse just does what he has to do. He galloped out great?his ears were pricked, and it was beautiful to see in the replay. It looked like he was just looking for more. That was the first time a horse really fought with him, so I thought he'd come back here dead tired, but he ate everything up that night and he's in the feed tub right now.

en I salute the winner, and Johnny rode a tremendous race. My jock rode a great race, too. I want to take care of this horse as well as I possibly can, because he gave his guts for us. They had to run to beat this horse today. I've got a real treasure in Bellamy Road.

en He made my life a joy. I was just fortunate to come along at the same time he did. Let's be honest. I rode the coattails and a lot of coaches did and fans did, and a whole bunch of people got on board and rode that train right with him, and he was driving.

en Who has the power now, the drill sergeant or the trainee? If drill sergeants say, 'Run up that hill,' privates are going to say, 'You sexually harassed me,' ... This is a real risk you run if you find drill sergeant Simpson guilty.

en I knew we didn't look bad. I felt like we rode our best ride. I had no idea where we were in comparison to the other teams. The most important thing was we had a good time.

en [Bellamy Road's trainer, Nick Zito, said he was proud of his colt's effort coming off an injury and a long layoff.] I salute the winner, and Johnny rode a tremendous race, ...
