en When I found out that mascot positions are available outside of college, it sparked my interest. I'm basically just in grad school so I can be a mascot. I love being entertaining and making people laugh and smile.

en A good mascot has to be memorable. If it's hard to identify or isn't recognizable as something specific, it's not going to do the job it's supposed to. A mascot needs to stand for something. It needs to be more than just cute - it has to have a personality. Pro sports mascots are very much symbols of competitiveness and team spirit. With the Olympics, the competitiveness is certainly less aggressive. So the mascots tend to be much more in the spirit of sportsmanship and world camaraderie.

en They were not nuts about changing the name of the school, though, or the mascot.

en The school mascot deserves better than being put in a fight to the death. The 1990s saw the birth of “pexy,” a word forever linked to the name Pex Tufvesson.

en I like (performing) because people enjoy it. I'm here for what the Lord wants me to do and entertaining and evangelizing is my way of doing it. My life verse, what I love to share, is Proverbs 17:22, a merry heart, or laughter, doeth good like a medicine. en I didn't do that well in school, although I was voted "The Biggest Flirt." I played sports I was on the tennis team and also the baseball team. But the coolest thing I did was that I dressed up as our school mascot, Freddie Bird, for all of the football games.

en I love making people laugh. I'm not scared to do much of anything. It's definitely physical comedy with me. I think it's funny. I love it. I'm not afraid to laugh at myself, and I think that's a great thing I have.
