Like most of the people in this business, Doug Reed worked his way up from running half-day boats, and this was his first boat as an owner. He's such a great guy. Hate to see something like this happen to a guy like him.

People know when they take this job this could happen, because it's the nature of the contracting business, but it still hurts. We hate to see this happen. We hate to lose the work and we hate to lay off employees.

The important aspect of this show is the number of boats. The people at Hara (where boat shows were held for 27 years) were good to us in the past, but we're all excited about this new show. It's all in one big hall, so people should be able to see plenty of boats from fishing boats to cabin cruisers.

I never worked for a better owner in baseball. I've worked for a few -- Charlie Finley, Ted Turner, Ray Kroc, Ewing Kaufman, Marge Schott. Jeffrey has been the best owner I've ever worked for. He let you do your job. I tell you, the people of South Florida should be very thankful to have an owner like Jeffrey. He has such a tremendous desire to win. He has said that so many times. Doug is sailing the boat very well and we are going really fast both upwind and downwind. I give a lot of credit to Don Kelly, the boat captain. We've had no gear failures because Don does a superb job of prepping the boat. He makes my job a lot easier.

Doug was a one-man show in the first half. He was fantastic. He hit some great shots with a defensive man on him. Eastern started gambling in the second half and double-teamed Doug. Ross did a nice job slipping to the hole. He also made a couple of nice drives to the basket.

I've been around boats all my life, so I decided to get into the boat business. We've had our ups and downs throughout the years, like most businesses.

We believe that NZL 60 is still the fastest America's Cup Class boat in the world at the moment and so it is a great opportunity for us to sail against them in our ex-Nippon boats,
