I'm telling you in the next five months gas prices might fall as much as 25%, according to some seasoned industry observers...and then recover smartly. The stock market is fickle. It probably is heading into a little heavier weather in April and May before it begins to look at the coming heating season and look at the coming (commodity) price recovery instead of the price decline.

There's a lot of speculation and a lot of investment activity going on in the vacant land market here and that drives prices north. There's concern over the lack of developable land so they're willing to pay premiums. Residential developers are looking to acquire as much land as they can to feed their pipeline for future development.

I think it's just much-needed profit-taking after a huge run-up and, fundamentally, nothing has really changed. There is nothing to suggest that commodity (prices) are now going to pull back 20 percent.

We've not seen anything like this previously. There have been hurricane disruptions, like Andrew, which was a temporary thing and the market bounced back, followed by a return of a red-hot housing market with housing prices hitting new highs in 2004.

Our revision does not guarantee that the copper market moves to surplus, but it does suggest the market is coming closer into balance.

This lessens the possibility that the Federal Reserve will tighten monetary policy again at their next meeting. One more increase was probably built into the market, so it's now being taken out of the market. That drove bond prices higher, and, with yields coming down, makes stock prices more attractive.
