en I can understand if the mayor wants to give up takeout Chinese food, but if he wants real food, he should come here.

en The quickest way to end up with takeout food that's not as healthy is to not put any advance thought into meals. I don't mean to knock takeout -- I like eating out as much as the next person; I enjoy a pizza or takeout Chinese or Indian food. But most fast foods are cooked with lots of fat and salt; that's why they taste great. It's not a good way to eat every day, economically, and it's not the healthiest way to eat every day.

en If I moved away, I would definitely miss the Mexican food. Every region has its own Mexican food, and they're very chauvinistic -- they believe their food is the real Mexican food.

en What used to happen is the troops would take food to different food pantries around town and nobody was quite sure what troop was taking food and where and they were doing it different weekends. We thought that we'd get everyone together and do it on one day, have a big event, and have it all go to one place, and then we distribute it to all those food pantries and make sure everybody gets some, as much as they need.
