en We played a very good basketball team tonight. They made the game too hard for us. I thought we gave everything we had in the first, but the way they played, the way they shot the basketball I don't think we could have won. They did what they had to do, and they took care of the home game.

en We've got to be able to take care of the basketball, manage the turnovers, control the boards, and we've got to be able to make good decisions in the half-court game. [URI is] a team that played against us here and we did not play well.

en Thirteen million (dollars) to sit down and watch basketball? To work out on your own? I mean, knowing that I could have helped that team? That team is just trying to get into the playoffs. It wasn't my decision. I wanted to play basketball. They didn't want me to play basketball.

en They're a veteran team, they've played together for a while. They're good. They don't make mistakes.

en Davidson is a good, solid fundamental basketball team. We've got to take care of the basketball and (get it) to the right people. Everyone has got top players, but our team is defined by our strength inside and we have to make sure we get the ball to those people. At the same time, other people have to do their jobs and contribute.

en I don't really think about the playoffs. What I do think about is getting to the CIAA championship game. But if we take care of business, we hope the [NCAA] people will do the right thing and put us into the playoffs.

en We just played basketball. Everybody throws all these funky things at (Prairie). We just played basketball, and I'm very proud of them. We played basketball like a team.

en That's the worst loss I've ever been a part of. We were dominated all over the ice in every area. We played like a team that is out of the playoffs and they played like a team that is comfortably in the playoffs.

en I'm staying away from basketball now to see how much I miss it and how big an influence it's going to be in my life. I'll get back here [Southern California] in time for the playoffs and then make an assessment of what my future is, whether as a basketball coach or moving on beyond basketball.

en I really felt we had to get to the free-throw line by getting penetration inside, and in the first half I think we were too timid. We also needed to take care of the basketball. That's an outstanding team over there, and you can't win if you don't take care of the basketball.

en That was probably our worst defensive effort of the season. I give Milwaukee credit for some of that, they are a veteran basketball team and they run their stuff very well. Yet, we just made some mental lapses that we didn't make in the first half.

en We have 10-12 kids who could get significant minutes in any game. Everybody on the team is bringing a lot of energy to the floor. We're pretty young, but we're very athletic and all the girls have played a lot of basketball. The key for us is to make sure that everyone is in this for the team. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I was really pleased with how we played today.
