en It's interesting how little applause there was. It was a subtle indication of the contentious relationship the governor has had with the Legislature.

en The governor has always said what is important is not June or November but that he and the Legislature work to rebuild California. At this point, it is critical that the Legislature build upon all of the work that has been accomplished thus far.

en Unfortunately the governor once again has allowed his agenda to be hijacked by a right-wing fringe group . . . The governor should have respected the democratic process and let the Legislature decide whether project labor agreements benefit the State of Minnesota.

en In the days before term limits, politicians who knew they weren't ever going to be governor were content to stay in the Legislature. They knew that being a Senate committee chair was a better job than being lieutenant governor.

en The governor and the speaker have a good relationship, and the governor has been supportive of our efforts in the past.
