My little children these ordspråk

en My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: / And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

en Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) / And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: / Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, / Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: / To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

en But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; / Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: / For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; / Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: / Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; / To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

en Is it a fact that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, and how is it proved? If a God, he could not die, and as a man he could not redeem
  Thomas Paine

en She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines.

en To accept Christ is to receive Him by faith as your Lord and Savior. But, strictly speaking, the great thing to see is that God has accepted Christ. He took our sins upon Himself, died to make propitiation (the sacrifice which removed the anger of God) for them. But God raised Him from the dead and has taken Him up to glory. God has accepted Christ in token of His perfect satisfaction in His work. Believing this, the soul enters into peace. I simply rest in God’s thoughts about His son.

en But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, / Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) / And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: / That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

en For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: / Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: / Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

en I can say this disaster was not as a result of any corporate sin, ... I firmly believe that is not the way God operates today. If you look at the giving of the son (Jesus) and the sacrifice placed there he says, 'I died for sin, once and for all,' not just for all time, but for all people and all sins. Things are different post-Christ. After we see the giving, receiving and resurrection of Christ, there's nothing in the New Testament that leads me to believe this is punishment.

en I know Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that's all I really need to know.
  Ann Coulter

en Jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine - My sins are my own, they belong to me
  Patti Smith

en The blood of Jesus Christ can cover a multitude of sins, it seems to me.
  Denis Diderot

en Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: / According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: / Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, / To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

en But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, / Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? / And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? / Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? / But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) / I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

en We must not forget that it wasn't the Jews that put him on the cross, and it wasn't the Romans. It was my sins, it was your sins, the sins of this world,

en And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? / But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? / Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? / But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
