en Just like in real farming, you want to sell when prices are high.

en Farming now is a lot different than it was 20 years ago. If you want to get into a tractor, drive up and down a field and cultivate and harvest a crop and sell it, that's not where farming is headed.

en Farming and agriculture is a high-tech business. There are machines that are doing the work of men. Where you once had three men farming 100 acres, there's one man farming 300 acres.

en High gas prices don't benefit (either customers or) us. When gas prices get real high, historically people start conserving.

en I started farming in 1948 and that was the first year I had my own crop. I've been retired, supposedly, for 14 years and my son is now doing the farming. Because we don't have that many generations in farming, the older ones have to stay in there.

en High commodity prices are boosting Brazil's terms of trade and leading to record trade surpluses. A favorable external backdrop and still high real interest rates should support the Brazilian real.

en But the thinking is that farming isn't going to require any fewer people than it does now. There's even some discussion that it may require more people because of the more high-tech parts of farming.

en Europe has shrugged (high oil prices) off pretty well but I think we will see $70 a barrel and that might be the catalyst for a sell-off.

en We all know who will be the first to complain about natural gas prices this winter. And everybody here knows who will blame high prices on a corporate conspiracy, don't we? But the real conspirators seem to be New England and places like Fall River, Mass.

en The trend of conventional agriculture is going the other way: The kids don't want to farm, and the parents are looking to sell off the farm for real estate development. But then you have this significant counter-movement of people giving up their keyboards to farm, professionals going back to the land, and younger people getting into organic farming.

en Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy.

en This gives a big boost to the desktop PC and gives us a more compelling reason to sell high end desktops at competitive prices.

en There are a lot of reasons to sell. Shares of Intel and other U.S. high-tech companies have fallen after disappointing earnings, while oil prices have jumped.
