Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

We played good man defense and the players got out into the passing lanes which caused some turnovers we converted into easy baskets.

We've never been a real good shooting team. Credit to Dedham defensively to force us to shoot even quicker than we normally would, but I thought we missed a lot of easy shots and we had turnovers at inopportune times.

Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.
