When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? / She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? / Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? / And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: / And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

(Judas) may have thought that when Jesus met with the priests, it would just be to talk. He had misjudged the extent to which religious authorities despised Jesus. Then he found out he had literally handed his friend over to death. It may have been a well-intentioned act, and he had to have felt a deep remorse, which probably led to his suicidal death.

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: / And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, / And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, / And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, / And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

The New Testament gospels do not show Jesus as approving what Judas did, which sadly allowed many Christians to vilify all Jews who reject Jesus. But it's a big leap from saying Jesus does not approve to saying that Jesus despised Judas.

That felt pretty good. That really lifted everybody.

I felt real good when that ball was in the air. It lifted our players up and everything.

I felt like the weight of the entire world had been lifted from my shoulders.

I felt such relief when I knew that he had been found. It was a big burden that had been lifted,
