I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

We just wanted to stick to our systems and keep a high level of effort in the game. I thought the system part was kind of okay, our effort was kind of okay, but I thought there were three or four players whose stock went up tonight.

Defensively, I thought that was our best effort all year. When you deal with a kid like Mike Tisdale who's seven foot and can do a lot of different things, you need a total team effort. I honestly never thought the score would be like this. We've been working on some things. I just thought today everything just fell right into place. As a coach, you couldn't ask for anything more.

When you're already out of the playoffs, you need to find to certain things to motivate you. I thought we did a good job of stressing the fact that this is a huge rivalry for us and we owe it to our fans and ourselves to come out and put in a good effort.
