en Bruce Chen went 72/3 innings, gave up four hits (actually five) and they were all home runs, but he kept his team in the game. He almost went a complete game without even pitching once from the stretch.

en I did what I wanted to do with the ball most of the time. I felt strong. I used all my pitches in almost any count. I had almost seven innings and gave up six singles. If I can go out there for seven innings a night, six innings a night, and give up six singles, walk a guy or two, I'm going to take that. That's not bad. These guys are going to score runs.

en It was big. We gave away the first one and got pounded in the second one, so it was good to get out with a win today.

en Kelvim just shined in his big innings tonight. He gave us big pitches and strong innings out of the bullpen, and that's why he's down there in the pen.

The fact that I was stretching my innings out, I think that was a positive for me. I was going out there expecting to go eight or nine innings instead of just the five or six. I had the mentality of going eight or nine last year.
