We were one bad ordspråk

We were one bad quarter or a couple of possessions away from winning the conference outright. It's been a great year. I think we got a lot of support from the student body, the administration and the staff. We're excited about the future, but we're disappointed right now.

I'm pleased and appreciative of the administration extending the contract. I've been very blessed with a great staff and players during the past five years as well as tremendous support from our university and athletic administration, fans and student body.

I don't know the answer to that. I've always put a lot more stock in winning the conference outright rather than winning the conference tournament. If we are a No. 2 seed or a 1 or a 3 - the one thing I haven't done yet is look at where we might be sent, that type of scenario. But regardless, for what we have set out to do in the rebuilding process we're in, a No. 1 seed would be tremendous in Year Two.

Our student section and our support have been great. Ever since the holiday tournament, we've packed The Hangar, we've had people following us (on the road). ... They've done a great job. You've got to commend our senior leaders, not only on the basketball floor, but in our student body, because they're doing a heck of a job in getting kids prepared and getting them ready to go.

This is a great building. They have a great leader in Jim Pauley and they have a great staff. And from what I saw, it looks like they have the makings of a great student body.

We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

The best thing about them is they didn't let us go to the offensive boards. We've been first or second in the conference the whole year. We don't pride ourselves on being a great shooting. We pride ourselves in getting extra possessions, and I thought Maryland kept us from those extra possessions.

This is a great change for ULM. I am really stunned by the measures taken by our administration in order to satisfy the student body. This really is an improvement.

The administration's actions make BC appear intolerant. The resolution seeks to symbolically, officially relay to the administration that the student body does not approve.

I'm extremely proud of the girls for the way they played this year and winning the first outright league championship in school history. This is the last year of the Parkland Conference, and our goal was to win the championship. I'm extremely proud of every girl on this team.

I am grateful for the opportunity Kansas State gave us to coach and lead this program. We wish we could have accomplished more, but it was a great experience and I appreciate the players, staff, administration and our great fans for all they have done to support us.

Grinnell is the powerhouse of our conference. We played four freshmen in the lineup and one senior with very limited singles experience. It was a beautiful day for tennis and I hope our student body keeps showing up to support our team because our guys really do appreciate it. We gave 120 percent effort and as a coach that is all I can ask.

I was disappointed, because I wanted to be a state champion in my senior year. But there were some excellent wrestlers in that tournament. All were great to just get there. I still was disappointed, though. I came so close to winning it all.

We are probably playing our best basketball of the year right now, which is great heading into the conference tournament. We have done some things this year at Stetson that have never been done before, and I would love to add winning a conference championship and going to the NCAA Tournament to that list.
