Losing Grant was a ordspråk

en Losing Grant was a key in this game. Dan was nervous out there and made an error early on, but then he made 3-4 great plays. He didn't give us the offense Grant would have, but we didn't expect him to. He came in and played defense the way we wanted.

en Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

en This one hurts us a little. We didn't play poorly. West just made more plays at the end than we did. Give them credit. They played well late in the game, and we made some mistakes. They were just more aggressive than us, and that was the difference. We didn't match their intensity at the end of the game.

en It was a hard-fought game. It was a great win for our kids. We didn't play well early, but they dug in. We really played good defense in the second half, and we made a lot of good hustle plays tonight. Every one of them was important for us.

en At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

en We put together the application for the grant and sent it out early this year. We didn't hear back for awhile so this was money we didn't expect to come in.

en She played a great defensive game. We all played great defense, it was our best defensive game of the year. We only made one error, and it didn't cost us.

en Defensively, we didn't help our pitcher out. She made a lot of nice pitches and we either made an error or made a mental error and we just have to work on that. It's early in the season.

en A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

en This was a game from the opening tip that we felt like we could have won. We dominated the whole game where we did what we wanted to do on offense, and took them out of what they wanted to do on their offense. They made some key plays down the stretch and we didn't.

en They didn't give us anything. Even in the third period we had maybe one or two chances. They played a great defensive game. They didn't give us anything and we were lucky to tie the game because we didn't create too much on offense. They played a great game for 60 or 65 minutes.

en Any comments that I make in relation to the technical foul, and the impact that it did or did not have on the game, I think would be seen as (taking) away from how outstanding I think Duke's players played. They made tough shots. They made the plays they had to make to win the game. We had equal opportunities, and we didn't come away with the points. We didn't get the stops that were necessary during the critical parts of the game, and we had maybe even some better looks than what they had; they knocked theirs down and we didn't.

en One of our scouts loved him and we considered him. Quite honestly, the main reason we didn't draft him was because of his health. He had the foot injury in college. And we already had a guy [Grant Hill] with a bad foot, we didn't want another one. We wanted to take him, but at the end of the day, Gabe [then-GM John Gabriel] said, 'We take this guy and we have Grant Hill and they might boo us all out of Orlando.' And Gabe was right.

en The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

en We came out and competed real well for our offense. We kept them out of the end zone as much as possible. Overall, I think we played very well. The defense came out excited today. Our young guys made some great plays. We made some great stops that helped us play as well as we did.

en He was awesome tonight. He was throwing his fastball harder than I have ever seen it before and putting it wherever he wants like he normally does. He was throwing a good curve. You have to give a lot of credit to the defense. Buster (Posey) made a couple great plays, (Ryan) Strauss made a great catch. Everyone played a great game today.
