As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. But that is about the only bright spot in this morning's report. With consumers concerned about both their stock portfolios and employment prospects, spending will likely rise a little less rapidly this fall.

Consumers and companies have been gobbling up new technology in the last 12 to 24 months ... Their technology cup is overflowing, which may lead to a cooling off period until a major technology breakthrough comes along.
