The thing that has been the most hurtful today is the fact that there have been a lot of other really good guys who are paying a penalty by taking down the accomplishments of four years of what guys did on the court. Most of those guys had absolutely nothing to do with any of this and I think that's unfortunate and very, very unfair to those kids.

There was a mood of extreme sadness. Not necessarily because we lost the game, but because of the relationships forged over the last year, two years, three years and four years, was coming to an end in a basketball sense.

We have a saying, 'All in' on the back of our t-shirts and that saying really came to fruition this season.

We made mistakes that we don't ordinarily make. The last few weeks, turnovers have not been much of a problem. Tonight, it was a factor. You can also credit their tenacious defense. They're very quick with their hands and they get a lot of deflections.

This is a senior class that has changed the program. We went from a team that was in the lower half of the NCCC to the state semifinals. It's a credit to these kids who have struggled through that to say, it's not going to happen again.

[Kolbe's] clearly best in a transition game and if we could have put the ball in the basket, then that takes away a certain aspect of their game. If you can't put the ball in the basket, you can't set up your press.

This truly is a senior class that has changed the program. We went from a team clearly in the middle of the pack, if not in the mid to lower portion of the pack in the NCCC to the state semi-finals. It's such a credit to these kids after four years of having seen that and having struggled through it, to say that's not going to happen anymore.

The kids played hard and they put out a good effort despite the score.
