We're not a risky team and we were just a little too risky tonight. They seem to just score with their chances. Defensively we weren't where we wanted to be.

It was just one thing after another, not only for me but for the team. It has been a rough year on the organization as a whole.

I think there's a handful of guys that ended up being lucky in that way, ... Some guys who were free agents actually had to take a little bit of a hit but it just all depends on who's available and at what time. There was only a handful of defencemen in my situation so it made things a little easier for me, I guess.

Hopefully it's not as bad and it's just some scar tissue breaking up and it will stay loose.

It's definitely a problem. I have a lot of confidence in our penalty kill but the odds are against us if we re going to take 10. It's known in the locker room but it's going to be addressed again.

We obviously didn't hit it off all that well,

He helped changed my attitude. He was so intense and so hard on himself. Early on in my career, that wasn't one of my qualities. I think that's why we were such a good mix.

It was different. There were a lot of whistles, and some of the guys who got penalties didn't know they got them.

It's tough when you work hard and the results aren't there. You start to second-guess yourself.

There are a few aspects of the game where we've really got to grow up and it showed tonight, like the sticking penalties. We have to understand we're not going to win unless we all play together, unless we all take shorter shifts, unless we put the puck on the net and unless we play as a five-man unit.

We're real fragile now. We're working hard. We've just got to get our confidence up.
