I'm extremely proud of the players' performance.

We were so close to getting one of the greatest ever results in the club's history.

If we were to do that, and we are capable of doing it, then I would leave very happy. I would be very disappointed if we don't get that.

It's going to be an interesting last few weeks and we have to try to finish this season in as much style as we can.

I was delighted for Kris. He certainly finds space in the box, his movement off the ball is great and he will always score goals as long we can provide the ammunition for him.

I felt it was as good as a performance all round as I have seen. Once the second (goal) went in, we had some breathing space and I was pleased with the control display.

We expect Villarreal to come at us early because if they don't then it could become very nervous for them. It will be tough, and we accept that, but it would be nice if Villarreal felt the heat as well. They are expected to go through so there is maybe added pressure on them.

My focus is totally on this game and that is my only concern. But it is only right that the club should be looking to try to get things sorted for next season. We made the decision [about McLeish leaving] a few weeks ago and the club is trying to look ahead. But that doesn't distract me, nor does it concern me. My focus is totally on Villarreal.

Villarreal will be confident after scoring twice in the away leg. I'm expecting a game where we won't see a lot of the ball and Villarreal will do most of the attacking. But we have good discipline and dangerous players, which we've shown by coming this far in the competition.

I expect a match in which we won't have the ball too much. Villarreal will attack from the start but our discipline is good and we have some dangerous players as we've shown by getting to this stage of the competition.

I came at the time when the club was downsizing. It was an opportunity for me and I have no regrets whatsoever, I'm leaving the club in a good financial position.

I was very pleased with the players after the exertions of midweek. Now we have to try to finish the season with as much style as we can.

Kris got a hat trick, but he might have had six or seven. It was amazing the amount of chances he had. He sets such a high standard that we were cursing him when he missed a couple today, but I felt he had a good all-around game and again proved his elusive in the box.

It's a real test but I don't fear it. I was a little bit uneasy and a little bit in limbo because it was a case of you must win this one or that one.
