 Because the calm person, who is not afflicted by these feelings and is steady in pain and pleasure, becomes fit for immortality, O Arjuna. |
| There is no one hateful or dear to Me. But, those who worship Me with devotion, they are with Me and I am also with them. |

| I am rich and born in a noble family. I am the greatest. I shall perform sacrifice, I shall give charity, and I shall rejoice. Thus deluded by ignorance |
| One attains the highest perfection by devotion to one's natural work. Listen to Me how one attains perfection while engaged in natural work. |
| A person is known by the faith. |
| The great warriors will think that you have retreated from the battle out of fear. Those who have greatly esteemed you will lose respect for you. |
| Restless senses, O Arjuna, forcibly carry away the mind of even a wise person striving for perfection. |
| All sorrows are destroyed upon attainment of tranquillity. The intellect of such a tranquil person soon becomes completely steady. |
