I went over it and over it and over it, really hammered on it. When I thought I'd mentioned it enough, I made sure I mentioned it again.

My record? Well, it is what it is. People can say what they like about me, and that's fine. What I've never liked is seeing other people getting thrown in there with me.

We don't have the kind of offense where you'll see a quarterback putting up league-leading numbers. If Ben throws 20 times, at least 10 of those are third downs. You can't look at his numbers without taking that into account.

This is a supreme team with the same aspirations we do. They're playing with a high level of confidence. It's not going to get done by showing up and we really have not accomplished anything. That's the thing we have to keep in mind because some people will give you kudos, and will talk about all the good things we've done, but that can all change with one play, with one quarter or one bad game.

We've got some guys who have not been there before, but we have a lot of coaches who have been there before.

We have to be able to run the ball more efficiently than we have the last couple weeks. We can't sit there and rely on throwing the football all the time. Not that we don't want to have balance, we do.

We've got to run the ball better, there's no question about that.

I have so much respect for what Jerome Bettis has meant to this football team. He's such a classy guy and he's been such an inspiration. He and I have always had a special relationship, and this is a special moment for him.

One thing you see now is when Willie makes a decision, he's going north and south. You see him hitting the pile and going forward. I know one of the questions was, 'Can Willie run inside?' and I think he's answered a lot of that.

The second year makes a dramatic difference to any player. He's more comfortable with the offense, and it makes him a better quarterback.

When we come here, there will be a lot of demands on many of these guys. (The goal) is to come here and prioritize things and try not to get out of the routine, and understand that Wednesday, Thursday, Friday is just like a regular game.

We've got a very close team. Jerome has been an inspiration to us all year.

I'll just remind them where they were seven weeks ago.

This is the eighth game that we'll play where we had no margin for error. So it will be a constant reminder about not so much where we are right now, but where we started from. That in itself puts a lot of things into perspective.
