I was surprised by that — shocked by that, almost.

Scared is a strong word. I don't think I was that scared. We had jitters, and that was easy to see.

Late in the game I was joking around with Dave saying he was scared late in the game since the freshmen scored the last 29 points.

We had expectations of making it farther than people thought we ever could have made it. We even said we could win the whole thing -- that's how good we were playing. It just wasn't in the cards.

Now I come down here and I see how much people care and how much our fans are into the ACC Tournament. I can't wait to get there. I just thought it's a tournament before the NCAA. It's a big-time deal.

It's going to be intense. We were talking about banners the other day, me and Mike (Copeland, the fifth freshman) and Coach Holladay said, 'If you win your next three games, you get a ring.' That really does kind of put an emphasis on how big these next three games will be.

Coach got intense. He got down in a defensive stance and was growling. He was in our face, making us believe that we could win this game if we played hard every possession. We got back in the game.

That was fun. That place was going crazy. We were on the bad end of it at that point, but still ...

In reality, all those guys are gone, so you can't say it's revenge. It's a completely new team.

They were three of the quickest guards I've seen.

From day one, we never used that excuse. The excuse that we're a bunch of freshmen and that's why we make mistakes is unacceptable. We're basketball players. We should never play the way we played out there today.

Hopefully, we're going to bounce back. We're going to get after it, and we're going to come back hard.

That zone sagged off us late in the game. We were looking for Tyler, but they had a guy sitting in his lap and a guy behind him. So it was tough to get him the ball.

The 21 offensive rebounds, that was crazy. We can't rely on David and Tyler to get all the rebounds. Some of the guards have to get in there. But 21 offensive rebounds, I mean, that's almost handing them the game.

That's definitely going to be one of our keys to the game, to take care of the ball.
