When you play talented teams, you may not necessarily come out with a victory. But you learn a lot about your team because of the challenges you face every game.

Every year is a new year, and our guys come to play with something to prove. That's the way they are. That's the way they play.

We're pretty balanced. We have six or seven players capable of leading us in scoring on any given night.

Brandon refused to lose the game. He was going to do whatever was in his power to win it for us.

That's one thing we had a question about coming in - how we'd do in a close game. We had never been in that situation before. But, knowing the guys I have - we have seven seniors - I had a good gut feeling about it.

It was one of those great high school games. It's the playoffs, everything's on the line. You love to be in this, especially when you come out on top.

We were struggling in the second half, and you have to give it to our seniors. They kept at it and played aggressive defense to get it back. They were not going to be denied.

Goose Creek has never been there. Hey, I told our guys I've been in basketball a long time and never had this experience. I thanked them for giving me this opportunity to be in this position.

When a team scores that many points from the free-throw line, it's hard to beat them. There at the end, Rock Hill got aggressive at both baskets and made the plays. We had a couple of breakdowns at the end.

We've never had a big guy who could pound it inside. But we've been blessed with players who can get up and down the court. Both Brandon and Kendrick have very different types of games. But they complement each other well.
