Obviously, the two top teams in CONCACAF are the U.S. and Mexico. We have the one blemish on our record when we lost in the first part of the final round in Mexico City, so it's nice to get that back, and it's very special to qualify at home against our archrival.

Obviously we look forward to the game for a couple of reasons. Mexico is certainly and arguably our biggest rival in CONCACAF and that always makes for a good game. More importantly, any kind of positive result for the U.S. qualifies us for the next World Cup and that's been our objective since June of 2004. We obviously look forward to the game. We love playing in Columbus. We anticipate a great crowd, and one that's very supportive of the U.S. team. I'm confident we're going to field a strong team and play well.

Over the next month or so we'll really see the value the Gold Cup had for us. Because of injuries and suspensions, a few guys had to play a bit more than we anticipated, and that can only make our squad deeper in the long run.

Keller would have to fall out of his bedroom window tonight. We don't plan on rotating goalkeepers.

We played very well. I think we felt guilty of perhaps making things a little bit difficult on ourselves. We created a number of good goal-scoring opportunities and came up short, and that allowed Trinidad to hang around for 89 minutes or so when they could have been punished and sent home a lot earlier.

Maybe the first yellow card was a question. The second was merited, a little inexperience on Bobby's part.

We haven't outgrown CONCACAF. I think you are going to see the smaller countries will continue to grow and we're going to have a very difficult time qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

We have seen a wide range of attitudes and actual physical conditions with MLS players in the past, and if that is the case next time around they're not going to be eligible to make the World Cup roster.

These are just opportunities to evaluate players as we move forward, but you don't make decisions based on one game. Generally, as a rule of thumb, if you get a point on the road in qualifying, it's a pretty good result. The fact that we played with a new group this game, the result's OK. Would we have liked three points? Sure. But that's the way it is.

It's easy to look at [qualifying] and think that it's a breeze . . . but it's not a breeze. Our experiences over the last four years have positioned us to be successful. Our guys know how to win in big games.

We've got a bunch of guys in Europe as well as in MLS who want these opportunities to show that they belong on our next World Cup team. So we're going to put a pretty good team on the field for the next three games.
