A lot of craziness can happen. It has happened. All we can do is take care of ourselves. We have a big stretch here -- three games in a short period. Are we going to be in the thick of the race? Or are we going to be floundering along, worrying about getting in the NCAA tournament?

Now we're going to have to do something miraculous. We're going to need a big win on the road. Four or five losses will probably win the league, so obviously this is a key stretch for us. But it's key for everyone. It's fun. It's old-school Big Ten.

They play small, they spread you and they shoot threes. Other times they punish you inside with Dials. We have to stop Dials and do a decent job on their 3-point shooting.

I don?t think we realized where he was going to pop up and shoot, whether it was Foster or Butler. They do a good job in their schemes. They spread you out, and they get you in the ball picks. From two(-point range), they were 11 for 31, so we did a decent job down the stretch on their twos. But they?re shooting big-time shots; they?re shooting the ball well. They?re playing at a high level right now.

I'm sure he's worn down. A lot of kids are worn down. But it's also a little bit of mental pressure. It's the end of his career, it's the future --playing well for his future as people watch him.

It's taken a toll on him. Both those guys, that's inside and they have to fight through that. There's a big weight on their backs. But to sit there and worry about it and let games pass by and then kick yourself in the butt ... You've got to cut loose and play, but that's easier said than done.

It is clear that they are very good. Butler might be the most improved player in the conference. He was 5-of-6 and Foster was 6-of-8 - we have guys that don't shot free throws that well.

I don't think we realized where they were going to pop up and shoot. They're shooting big-time shots and playing at a high level right now.

Instead of getting into single digits, now we're chasing them from a big margin.

Now, we're going to have to do something miraculous.

I feel bad for Mike. I know it could be me. It affects family and people have no sympathy. But that's part of it. It's sad, but we chose to be in the profession and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Once he starts the offense, he can't stop at the top. He's got to cut through the defense and come off screens. I can put plays in and the play is one or two cuts to get open. But he's got to make plays on his own later in the possession.

We feel very excited with the success we've had and where we've got (the program).
